End of a Chapter - Closure of TG Aviation at Lydd Airport
It is with great sadness that Sue, Mark, Natasha, Sophie and Joyce inform you that last Thursday we were put in an unacceptable position in regard to our occupation of the Battle of Britain Room and two briefing rooms at Lydd. In order to safeguard TG Aviation, our instructors and customers we therefore ceased operations at Lydd Airport as of Wednesday when the current licence to occupy the rooms ended.
ALL ACCOUNTS WILL BE REFUNDED AND VALID VOUCHERS WILL BE HONOURED AND FLOWN BY LYDD AERO CLUB ON BEHALF OF TG AVIATION.
We have approached Lydd Aero Club and they are happy to take on any students or PPLs that wish to continue flying at Lydd. Our instructors will continue flying with the Aero Club and until our aircraft are sold the Aero Club will lease them in while they assess whether they need to increase their fleet. Please give them a call and tell them you were one of our customers and they will look after you.

The TG Aviation Online Ground School will remain in place and available to current and new users.

As you know we are passionate about aviation and this is heart-breaking for us. We will now take time to consider where we go from here and whether we will continue with the Stearman operation out of Pent Farm. We will provide updates.
The mobile number will remain in place - 07511 526529 – and we will do everything we can to help with providing a smooth transition. We are also here if you need any help or advice going forward. If you are able to wait until Monday for refunds I would be grateful as the last number of days have taken their toll but if not that is not a problem.
We would like to extend our thanks to Mark Maxted of Lanmax Plant Transport Limited for his support and for helping us move out at such short notice. We would also like to thank Riveroak Strategic Partners (RSP) at Manston for providing storage while we sort everything out. Whilst they are not in a position to have us back operating at Manston at this time their support in other ways has been much appreciated.
Please do keep in touch, you have been our aviation family for many years both at Manston and at Lydd. We have been so proud of all that our students have achieved over the years and wish you all the very best for the future.
